Well, I know you’re all thinking what we’re going to be doing now that 2012 has come and gone. Since we’ve absolutely gotten over Harry Potter, here’s some of the things we’re working on for this year:

  • Finishing “This Story Makes No Sense”
  • Starting the Harry Moffer parody series
  • Writing at least one Harry Potter ripoff
  • Beginning the story “The Anti-Potter Fantasy Club”
  • Writing the ending to Away In England
  • Writing the ending to Bad Harry Potter Fan Fiction Stories
  • Fake parodies of Harry Potter
  • Rewriting the ending to Harry Potter

This list is only temporary, as there might be more ideas that we can be doing on this blog. We’ll be back with more.

Hooray! We have survived a whole year without Harry Potter!

Well, we have done the impossible. We have lived through an entire year without listening to the words “Harry Potter“.

Doesn’t that feel great? I know I’m feeling fantastic, seeing as I’m recuperating from having to hear about Harry Potter, and I was getting tired of it. But if we can go through 2012 without Harry Potter, than we can endure the the rest of our lives without Harry Potter.

Anyway, let’s get back to the real reason why we have this blog in the first place.

New Year, and this Blog STILL Makes No Sense!

Well, this blog has moved from blogger to WordPress and as such, it’s like starting over with a clean slate.

This year, I aim to restart the Story That Made No Sense and hopefully make it a true Harry Potter parody instead of the mess that I currently have.

Plus, the Better Than Potter anthology will begin later this month, so watch for it!

The Evil Genius Behind Tyler Potter~by Caycee

So, who is the genius behind Tyler Potter?

First off, he wasn’t created by Claire Violet Thorpe even though she borrowed him for her fan fiction series called the Series That Made No Sense. That series pokes fun at everything that is wrong with the Harry Potter series and tries to correct the mistakes, often with hilarious results.

But who is really behind Tyler Potter? His name is Jonas Sanders and he created Tyler for the show Space Wizards. The cartoon centers on Tyler’s adventures living in a steampunk version of an alternative Earth. But how and why Claire took Tyler’s name and began using it for a stupid character is beyond me. I think that Claire should change the hero’s name to something like River Valentine Potter and leave the name Tyler alone. But that’s just my opinion.

Anyway, I wonder how Jonas Sanders would react if he saw Tyler being part of a satire of Harry Potter. I don’t think he’d like that very much, knowing how bad the series could turn out, but we shall see…

8 reasons to fear Tyler Potter

And here we have 8 reasons why we should all be afraid of Tyler Potter:

  1. Tyler was already a wizard; in fact, he was featured in an obscure 1989 movie called “Space Wizards“.
  2. Tyler’s flying skills put Harry Potter’s skills to shame.
  3. Tyler doesn’t quail at the thought of fighting the Dark Lord.
  4. Tyler doesn’t marry the fangirl.
  5. Tyler is smart enough to figure out early on that Dumbledore was a stupid jerk who tried to rule over his life.
  6. Tyler tries to break down all prejudices between people.
  7. Tyler has better things to do besides act selfish.
  8. Tyler Potter would OWN Harry Potter!!

So, where did Tyler Potter come from?

According to this blog, Tyler was first featured in a show called “Space Wizards“, in which Tyler is a 15-year-old boy living in a steampunk world called Aganaea and he is sent to a special boarding school to learn to become a space wizard. But when he gets to the school, he discovers that there has been a cover up and a student reappears after disappearing years before.

He came from an early 1990’s cartoon. Not made up for the sake of being in a story that didn’t make any sense.

Later on, we will be exploring Tyler’s world and how and why Tyler was picked to play in a role that would have even the most seasoned reader screaming in agony.

Is This the New “Golden Trio”? by Lucy Moore

January 12, 2011

A few years ago, fan fiction writer Claire Violet Thorpe had decided to write a satire of the Harry Potter series, aptly called “Harry Potter & the Series That Made No Sense.”

But now her characters Tyler Potter, Marty McGuire, and Coco Riddle have become known as the “Green Trio“, as opposed to the “Golden Trio” that was featured in the Harry Potter Series.

The three, first featured in the anti-Potter satire “Harry Potter & the story that made no sense“, are now being hailed as the new heroes of fantasy, much to the chagrin of Harry Potter fan Todd Facenda.

He says, “The satire is a joke. Claire needs to go back to being a Harry Potter fan and shut up.”

But his words have fallen upon the deaf ears of thousands of readers, all who were fed up with Harry Potter’s unwise decision to give up his entire life for a normal boring life as Hayley Snape.

As for Tyler, Marty, and Coco, they have yet to respond to the claims that they are now the “it” group of 2011.
